There are cycle and wave models that make sue martin not look at crazy as some think. It’s probably coupled with inflation pretty heavy to where $10 looks more like $5 corn at best. But, those who can be on the right side of it could look like geniuses and those on the wrong side will be looking for second and third jobs to keep the farm afloat.
What’s going on in Eastern Europe is probably just beginning. Weather has been more unstable overseas then even here and I doubt we have all that priced it. Let’s say Minnesota and the Dakotas have more PP then we expect and the govt pooches the yield and carryout again... that could make 2024 a powder keg waiting to explode...
Lots of theories and possibilities, but long and short is i doubt we raise a record crop of corn or beans here in 22. The record we probably need to keep things at “normal” levels
