Central Missouri | Talked to ADM Stl this morning, the wheat the elevators are getting in STL is what is rejected at the mills or "all the crap" as the buyer said. They define "crap" this year as low test weight and high vomitoxin. Very ironic that gulf vomitoxin specs at 2 ppm are tighter than the mills at 3ppm. They will eventually make excellent monmey on this wheat if the n/c comes in good quality as they will blend it off. If we have another bad srw vomitoxin year the stuff wll be worth much less. imo | |
