I'm actually a flat tax guy, but wanted to show Don what his encourage work would have to look like to actually encourage work.

I have a problem with the sales tax, because at what point does a transaction become taxable? That could make every value added transaction subject to sales tax (grain to ethanol plant, ddgs to livestock farmer, farmer to cattle buyer, buyer to packer, packer to wholesaler, wholesaler to grocery store, grocery store to consumer.... that results ( at your 4 % number) in a compounded 28% tax rate on a bushel of corn.......

I think it could be dcone correctly, but you see the temptation left on the table for the power grabbers.
