| What You say is correct for an individual wanting to better themselves, But it doesn't work when you look at a bigger sample of the population if there aren't enough jobs to go around. IE; if there 75 jobs available for 100 people and You work 2 jobs, there's 26 people out of work.
I'll agree that all of the welfare/tax/social programs discourage the lower potential folks from bettering themselves - they all are sweetspotted for a single parent working a minimum wage job. | |
