| Good question. It gets harder & harder to bargin for a price. Around here shackle space has pretty much disappeared if you aren't on some kind of formula / contract. Commit delivery from 5 to 25 days out to secure a delivery date and take what ever the formula offers. Usually derived from some sort of bid market on what % of hogs?? 5% ? 10%? 20%?
