West Central Wisconsin | Just got back from milking and saw the responses. Thanks for the concern but from the information sent home that night all symptoms appear normal following a concussion or "closed head injury". Symptoms vary it says and may last a few days to weeks. None of my symptoms are getting worse, just the opposite in fact. The headaches which felt like a finishing nail stuck in my head is more like a thumbtack now. LOL I did a little more work outside yesterday and slept for 11 hours last night. I think the reason for the CT scan was to look for blood clots or bleeding around the brain. They must not have seen any sign of that as they sent me home. The hospital I went to was Gundersen Lutheran in LaCrosse and they have been my care provider for 30 years or more. Often times you will hear someone describe someone as "not right" or "must have got kicked in the head". I'm beginning to understand what they mean by that. It's just weird how I feel at times and makes one realize how fragile the human brain is. Makes you wonder how boxers and football players can continually take the repeated abuse to their head. I really would like to hear others share their experience. Thanks again for your concerns, Joe. | |
