Around here I’ve been hearing $400/pig space for new construction. The funny thing is rent hasn’t increased in 25 years and construction cost has doubled. There are empty barns around here as well so I am glad to still have pigs in my barns making manure. Oh and as far as free fertilizer, it’s not free, whether you buy your own equipment or hire it done, application gets spendy.
