Between Omaha and Des Moines, 7 miles South of I80 | Now, If they only did a throttle shaft seal, that can be done, with the injection pump still on the engine, but you have to pull some injection lines AND the intake manifold, then you can get that rear governor housing OFF, and reseal and/or rebush AND reseal that throttle shaft seal area. (earlier 3208 governors, that aluminum where the throttle shaft "rides" could get sloppy and there was a fix, to ream it out (with special tooling) and insert a bushing {into reamed aluminum hole}, then install a new lip seal)
We did a fair amount of those, and it is way, way more common; than resealing a 3208 fuel injection pump's transfer pump area. |
