Utah | Just wanted to give an update on where I'm at with this. I replaced the hand primer pump, as well as bypassed the water separator I was assuming may have been a problem by connecting the fuel line on either side of it with a tapered nipple. I also replaced the rubber hose on the tank side of that filter while I was at it.
Now seems to be running a bit rough. Took it out on the road and after about a block the engine began running rough and as it shifted up into second it stalled out with my foot on the accelerator. Afterward it required quite a bit of bleeding and a little ether to get up and going again. Now it's sitting back in my yard. It starts right up. Idles a little rough.
I plan on replacing all of the steel braided fuel line when I have some more time. Most of the fuel line appears to be metal and in good condition. | |
