So if I were to eliminate the glass filter would I just use a fuel plate? Will any one that fits my line fittings work?

I plan on replacing all the rubber hose tomorrow wether or not pulling fuel from a secondary source solves the leak. I have not checked the governor. I have also not bled the governor or what I understand to be a bleeder for the injection pump next to it. It has been in the bwck of my mind but the bubbles in the glass filter have been keeping me focused on the suction side between the tank and that filter or the seal on filter itself.

I have read that an inlet valve in the primer pump can get flipped and create enough of a vacuum to begin pulling in air. I've been waiting to replace that to change anything with the glass filter.

I believe my t-valves are tight. I spun the adapter that goes into the filter housing tightening one of them. They just spin closed clockwise yes?

Thank you BTW for your in depth and extremely helpful response.
