Your not alone. After reading all this above I too am confused. I do understand why all the old timers were saying in 1977 that the Chicago and Kansas City boards of trade should be done away with. Everyone there has pretty soft hands!!!
Interesting that it's always the farmer that is paying a "fee".
Limit future trading to actual bushels on hand and traders would be paying farmers a "fee" for being able to use their bushels to trade with. Right now I am looking out the window at my 2010 Wheat crop, 2010 Wheat does not exist but I can telephone a broker and buy KC 2010 Wheat!
Make them either trade actual product that exist or make them take physical possession of the product within 30 days.
