Subject: Ear on the Rail

Jesse Livermore, a legend in an era of fewer rules, frequently stated most folks lack the discipline to 'stay put' & I recall many years ago whilst sharing a drink with a very old man, reputed to be very connected on the 'dark side' & asking him how he was able to avoid a long stay in the 'Federal College' - his reply "know how to keep my mouth shut. Most people cannot stand silence." With those thoughts in mind...I have attempted to remain objective, have ignored the website a little, try to listen and watch while I trade and have been looking at a country by country demand side in the meats. This upcoming pig crop report has the potential to alter some attitudes & while the economy continues to skate with heavy footfalls on very thin ice...we have to contend with a dangerous political attitude and a lot of tenuous economic management. The Chinese appetite for soybeans remains unabated - the question is feed grain demand & will have a few more solid details in a few days.
