As far as the physical bins themselves, bin are pretty much bins. In the dozen or so different bin companies represented in my local area, some that have came and went in the last 50 years, I’ve never seen a bin failure.

now when we start getting in the 100,000 and above bins then it's a different story .

most of the differences that matter are the entrance doors, heaters, stirrators (god forbid), floor sweeps, and flooring.

sukup has what they call the safety door that is interesting, and looks to be better than anything we have on the farm at present.

they also have a paddle sweep, which I’m sure is expensive as heck, but if you didn’t want to spend a lot of time in a bin cleaning it out, kinda looks like the way to go.
