Subject: RE: It's is my opinion

that interest rates are being held artificially low for more than one reason. They want to stimulate business activity while at the same time directing capital towards the stock market instead of cash savings. It seems that the lobbyests and their government stooges measure the health of this country by the Dow Jones industrial average. Money that is directed towards the market because there are no opportunities in cash savings.

If they wanted to encourage private savings they would allow the market supply/demand work and remove the taxes on interest earnings. Instead of giving favorable rate on capital gains for the gamblers. How does it help america if one investor sells his stock to another? It creates nothing other than a cash transaction between the parties.

I find it amusing that the capitalists believe in market oriented supply demand until it comes to interest rates or labor costs. Then they want forced low interest rates and nearly slave labor rates. Keep the govt printers running and immigrants illegal.
