With the little kids, you might want to check out the Minnesota Zoo. One of the few northern zoo actually designed to be open all year round. A lot of indoor exhibits. A lot of the outside animals are more active now since a lot of them come from cooler northern climates. Just south of the Mall, easy to get to and a lot of parking.
Family trip to Minneapolis.
