| As long as the "flight to safety" is perceived as T-Bills......thus the supply of zero percent funding in the form of Tbills and very low bank Cd's----cut off the supply and or change the perception of it being secure and it will change...............meanwhile the printing presses have a hard time keeping the ink in supply
Elderly savers at this point just want to preserve base capital, they took a hit in the stock market, and are willing to leave it at 2% CD's for time extended.
What are the other places for this money?--- Stock mkt, comm RE, foreign currency, massive move to Gold?---all of them are not liquid enough for alot of people who need monthly flow
