But last time I checked they still want close to premium for land, buildings and equipment. Price inflation should positively effect grain prices as you need food to live. This may be happening with soybeans, who seem to have an endless insatiable demand but corn is more slowly coming along and wheat is being left in the dust. Also with dollar devaluation, it should make US produced commodities cheaper to the rest of the world thus increasing sales. The scenario you described should be a boom time for the American farmer but somehow this boom time is not occurring. What you described sounds like stagflation and last time that happened times were good for the farmer. I hope you are right but I am afraid that you are not.
