Subject: Re: Cargill "Pro" Pricing

Central Missouri
Randy Christie, I used to work for him In Toledo. He was the head corn trader for the eastern half of the U.S. and I was a rookie grain buyer. He is a fireplug with alot of energy. Farm boy from Nebraska. Dinner at the Christie house would include a meal and then beer drinking while watching the weather channel; all the while Randy is cheering on the rain front so he would have more corn to market and the spreads would widen. He started his merchandising career in Chattanooga being trained by an old Cargill merchant by the name of Wayne Shirk. Randy wrote down a list of Shirkisms that Wayne would say here are a couple; Cheap corn is good corn, good corn is cheap corn. Christie your long a turkey in an albatross market. Man I can't think of any more but there was about 20.I posted them on here probably 6-8 years ago. Anyway a great guy with a great wife and 2 great kids.
