SE SD | Just demoed a Vario MT 1167. Loved the engine & transmission! It's a lugging monster. I love the factory warranty! The ride was great, especially coming from having only Deere wheeled 4wds. The auto swinging drawbar is nice. I love the ladder to get in and out & how it swings up out of the way. The Go/End feature is nice when it works. The one I demoed had a glitch.
Things I didn't like...The cab sucks. The seat was hard as a rock. The swivel sucked as it always locks into place, so you always have to pull the lever. It also doesn't swivel enough because there isn't enough room in the cab. Monitor hits the steering wheel and rear corner post when you're at max swivel in either direction. The electronics, screen, and controls aren't very good or layed out well. Just study Deere's armrest and copy that the best you can. The 1980's dash isn't the best either. Hydraulic oil fill is in a dumb location. The steering has a pretty loud whine when turning, not the end of the world but for what they cost that can be improved.
Basically, I really liked the tractor and I would love it if they improved the cab, seat, electronics, & controls. | |
