Stats-can reports income on a farm basis- INCLUDING OFF FARM INCOME-which explains why farm income stayed relatively static during the big wheat depression of 80's and 90's as every farmer and his wife (plus kiddies) hunted for an off farm job to pay the mortgage.
With the slow down in the oil patch, a lot of farms are going to have a lot less income.
