Subject: Newish Westfield auger

Nevada, Iowa
I bought a new Westfield auger last year and no issues, it's a 10" x 62' swing hopper. Twice this year I have sheared or possible lost the 7/16" bolt that couples the swing hopper to the gearbox. I wonder if this is a common problem and what I can do to fix it better or eliminate the issue.
Also, the flexible "hose" that seals the discharge point of the hopper to the long auger has already cracked and split. It will need to be replaced before next season. Any good substitute for a flex hose to use there? Apparently the Westfield version is rather cheesy to rot out in a year. Thanks
