Near-north Ontario, French River | Hmmmm I dont know if i would ever refer to SRW as being a specialty wheat Ed. Yes it does have different end uses compared to SW , HRW, or Durum but SRW is still widely grown. I believe on an acre basis that SRW dominates all other wheats in Ontario. Yes I understand Ontario is only a bit player in the wheat market but a large percentage of western Ontario wheat is exported to Toledo. |
