Not saying that you don't, but perhaps ask this question in July, after all the expenses are paid.  A guy always feels richer right after harvest.  Can't go broke when you pay all your bills first, then see what you have left..   I am sure you are smarter than that though... 

 Whole life is a joke, and you are in  a good position with the term..  If you want to earn the measly returns the insurance will pay ya,just give it to me..  Better yet, pay on the land a year early, to help you throught the tough times that are sure to come..  I remember the days without kids and no expenses so to say..    Save those dollars now, because you will be amazed how quickly they exit the door when little ones get sick or Chistmas comes around..
