Glasgow, Ky

Tom,

I agree 100% with you.  Investing in what you enjoy and make money on is the best of both worlds.  Diversification is good to an extent.

Wife and I put about every available penny we had (and then some) into land through the years.  We bought land both as a source of income and an investment.  Through the years the cheaper land helped pay for the more expensive.  I also worked off the farm for years to pay living expenses and to enable us to use all the farm generated income to reinvest in more farmland.

Looking back, I am glad we did it that way.  I never did care much for stocks and other investments.  I enjoy farming and owning land much more than other types of investing.  Life i is about making a living but it is a blessing to be able to make a living doing something you really enjoy.
