Northwest Iowa
I think a large part of the problem with pork profits is over production. I am in Plymouth co Iowa next to Sioux co and we have large hog buildings every where. Many of the buildings house 4000 head. As long as there were profits they kept building and there are to many hogs. IN some areas there is so much manure ther is not enough land to spread it on so it has to be loaded on semi's and hauled elsewhere.
