NW Kansas - Graham County
In NW Kansas our dryland corn is making around 110 bushel to the acre. This is above average. We only get around 18" of moisture per year and usually plant around 16,000 seeds per acre. Our alternative crops are wheat (average yeilds of around 35-45 bushels per acre) and milo (average yeilds of about 60-70 bushels per acre). Corn average is about 70 bushels per acre. The past 10 years corn has been by far the most profitable crop.
