| Without knowing the code I am guessing. But odds are it's the intake variable valve actuators. Not the hard to fix by just changing the vva solenoids. They had hell with those and ended up coming out with a new type that lasted well. Its as easy as taking the valve covers off and each one had 4 torx screws just remove and install new ones. Plug then in and back in business. Best to run intake valve actuator test before and after of course.
Being a 2005 probably an mxs but might be an NXS same engine either way.
Makes me wonder if it has the original vva solenoids if the vva oil line update had been done. Which cat should do for free as it's a safety consern of truck catching fire. Heck vva solenoids might still be done for free.
