jdannehl - 1/25/2021 10:45 This is simple - just upgrade your NVR to their new UniFi Protect system. You can keep your existing cameras, but will upgrade the platform you are viewing them from. For most systems, we install the CloudKey Gen 2 Plus. You'll need to login to your existing UniFi NVR to get the camera management password, otherwise you'll have to factory reset each camera in order to migrate them. I use this new system in a ton of deployments and it works really well. The clips playback in a timeline rather than each individual clip so viewing and playback are much improved. Good luck! https://store.ui.com/collections/unifi-protect/products/unifi-cloudk...

I'll second this suggestion.  When they introduced Protect a few years ago its functionality was limited and I didn't like it.  It has matured to the point where it is very stable and works great.  I migrated a few systems last week and will do a few more in the near future.   Cloud Key Gen 2 Plus can be had for $200 and handle 20 cameras.  It includes a 2tb hard drive that can be upgraded to 5.  Migration is easy.  Backup the NVR system, install the CK, restore the backup file.  I even did one remotely on a network that had the CK previously installed.

FYI.....I've had way fewer issues with Protect than I had with Unifi Video.  The Cloud connection is much more reliable.
