I recognize that there are complications, and this topic may dip deep in the weeds. My curiosity is if the EU General Data Protection law would come into play.
The complications include:
1.
) Canada being a British territory, Canadian citizens can vote for British parliament
(so I am told
) so would you have dual Canadian/British citizenship
2.
) The GDP was passed while England was part of the EU, but did Brexit break that connection?
Could be a deep rabbit hole to get through, but you may have a case through this avenue.
Good luck

Sorry - - - - no longer a British territory - - - hasn't been for quite some time.
We can't vote for British voting opportunities!
Who knows on Brexit - - - - that's one huge boondoggle in itself!
