As a CAD user, I would probably say no. Most higher end graphic cards are worrying about frame rates - so moving pictures and making those seem smooth..... now some people do presentations and renderings that that may be important, but mostly I would say no
now, more memory does help some as with graphical images being used as a layer beneath the CAD lines.
