Subject: Re: chocolate pudding

Silver Lake, Kansas
Mrs. Farmer here. I have a copy of the Hershey's 1934 Cookbook (reprint). There are several recipes for pudding. One if for Chocolate Syrup Mouse.
1 c. Hershey's chocolate favored syrup
1/3 c. sweetened condense milk,
1t. vanilla
few grains salt
2 c. heavy cream, whipped
2 egg whites stiffly whipped
Combine together, the syrup, milk, vanilla, and salt and blend well. Chill thoroughly. Add whipped cream and whip until mixture is spongy and light. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Freeze in a pan 8x8x2 inch. After moisture has frozen for 1 hour, scrape side and stir, finish freezing.
