Ontario, Canada | We have a Kenmore HE2, not the same as yours, but similar. We had problems with it flashing an error code as well. Remove the kickplate at the bottom front. Open the trap, and have a shop vac ready :) There will probably be a sock, money, rifle shells, corn, washers, maybe the odd ball bearing in this trap. That's enough to cause the error code to appear.
Ours is only 2 years old as well, and we have replaced the pump attached to the trap. That maybe your next problem, but try the trap first. There is also a ball in the rubber boot that is attached to the tub. Sometimes that ball inhibits the flow of water from the tub, it can be removed and still function fine.
