Cut the seed open and if you see a spoon in the meat of the seed--lots of snow. A fork-- what my dad called an open winter- mild. A knife-- bitter cold. Its crazy ,but you will see one of the three. I have no idea if it holds true.
Personally, just make mine persimmon pudding.lol. And ask me March 1 and I will predict the winter weather.
