I have a State Farm policy but I have not read it fully.  I got it not for problems related to death but in case there happened to be a "midnight cowboy" run on the pasture.  I think it was just an adder to my farm policy for equipment etc.  Pretty reasonable price considering the cost of losing 4 or 5 steers.  Number of head and value covered changes as you want it to change.

Interesting sentence he had about being forced to by livestock insurance.  Never had any insurance related expenditures forced on me yet except liability insurance on vehicles.
