Here's some pictures of three cows that got pictured lately.  Getting them tied up to the fence to get used to the halter and being handled.  Of course the rest of the herd has to come investigate and try to untie the rope! 

They are daughters of Maackdairy Region (200J944), a bull I used as a young sire. He came up +2.6 type which suprizes me for being a Lemvig grandson.  I liked his pedigree but didn't think we had anything typie enough to make picture-worthy daughters. 

I like the  color of the chocolate one the best but the Semex guys decided her udder wasn't good enough.  She's also not as smooth or square.  The other two are Hallmark granddaughters, which is showing through nicely. 

BTW yeah I know I need to fix the windbreak before winter comes!
