Raspberries fruit in 2-year canes so just trim the brown dead ones and leave the green ones to bear the next year.


Not all.
Summer bearing varieties like Boyne have primocanes that fruit the following year.
But fall bearing like Autumn Bliss and Heritage will fruit on first year canes.
