West Central Wisconsin | Our hometown hosted their annual womens softball tournament last weekend and I was wondering if things were similar in other towns. First of all I don't want to sound like I am prejudice against one's sexual preference but DANG, these women are butch! Secondly I don't want to stereotype but they show up in their little pickup trucks with their dogs and completely take over the park and turn it into tent city. The nearby lake is where they cool off after the game, sans clothing and public displays of affection are frequent. This has been a concern of some parents who take their children to the park and witness this activity and has been a topic in the local newspaper's editorial page in years past. The city says they bring a lot of business to our town, but since they camp at the park (for free), use the showers at the local pool (for free) and bring all their food and drink, what business are they really generating? So is it just our town or does it go on in other towns also?
