Iowa | The organization is made up of farmers like myself and my neighbors. Sometimes I disagree when it seems like they advocate too much government aid, but the organization speaks very well for me in most other respects. I've never served on the local board although it would probably be a better fit for me than my current board positions. There are plenty of other organizations that claim to be speaking for the family farmer when they are doing just the oppisite in my case and in the case of almost every other farmer I've known. If the Farm Bureau did not exist, we'd have to come up with something like it to make our positions known. | |
