NW Tennessee | We were extremely wet earlier, 20.45" of rain from 4/28-6/15. Then late June was like our normal July and August. Temps in the upper 90's, heat indices around 110*, and very dry. Only .4" rain from 6/16-7/15. Finally rained on July 16 and temps really dropped. I don't think the temps have been out of the 80's since and we have had only one day dry enough to get in the field since 7/16. It's rained 6.4" in the last two weeks. Rained yesterday, looks like it could rain any time today, and supposed to rain again tomorrow with a pretty good chance on into the weekend. I don't make a habit of complaining about July rains, but I have several acres of late planted beans that really need spraying. Of course, all my beans are late planted this year. They are getting rough and the days of just upping the glypho rates and getting a good kill are over around here. But, I would rather have this weather than what we had in late June - early July, that's for sure.
