Subject: RE: Best Bluetooth headset

Wright County, MN

I've had just about every one of them and I hate them all.  The comfy cheapies don't work in loud situations.  Jawbone ERA was one of those.  Really nice, but useless unless your in a quiet room.  Motorola cheapy sucked.  Blue Parrot, great noise cancelling and loud speaker.  Everyone else loves them, I've had 3 or 4 and won't waste my money again.

I've had a couple of the Plantronics Voyager and they are by far my favorite. Good enough speaker, great noise cancelling and comfortable.  Last one met an untimely demise when it had trouble connecting/unconnecting at a bad time.  They're tough, but not hammer on workbench tough.  My temper might have gotten the better of me on that one.

I replaced that one after a couple months without.  I decided to try a Plantronics over-the-head version.  It's absurd.  Great sound on both ends.  Sitting next to you, better than a landline...good.   It's huge, the pictures don't let you know just how big it is.  Think stereo headphones with only one earpiece.  Massive headset.  The plus side...it's all battery.  I only use it in the truck which is about 3-4 days a week.  I've had it for maybe 4 months and I'm pretty sure I've only plugged it in 3 times.  It's insane how long the battery lasts.  If it wasn't so big and clunky, I'd give it a 10/10.  Too big to leave it on.  I can't stand wearing it if I'm not using it.  I feel like a helicopter pilot in 80's TV shows.  Dang thing is huge.

Just looked it up.  It was delivered July 24th so only 3 months and plugged in 3 times.  I'm still OK with that.
