I think a half way modern gas engine would be a whole different ball game then the ones I'm used to.   I know getting rid of the Holley and replacing it with an Impco made the old gasser's we had completely different....you could actually count on going to the shed and starting one and driving it home.    I think 95% of my dislike for gas truck engines is because of Holley carbs and points....one with fuel injection and electronic ignition would have to be much better.  They sure have improved every other vehicle which has them.
