Yeah, I've played on some of the bubble up boards. Conversations started 2 years ago suddenly come to the top. You have to read through 6 pages of crap to find the most recent post, and all it did was say the same as half the other replies from two years ago. Let the old posts die. If the topic is interesting, do what you often see here. Start a new thread with the specific sub-topic that interested you. That brings the topic to the top, without dragging all the old posts. If you want people to have access to the old posts, just put in a link. I'm not saying there isn't room for improvement. Not letting topics die a natural death isn't an improvement to me. It may be time to increase the post count per page (on MT especially) to allow the topic a bit longer time period before it drops to the second page.
