Lapel, In
I used new 6 hp B&S from Quality Farm & Fleet, a pump, a tank, a filter and engine to pump adapter from Burdens. Built it about 10 years ago. I think it is a 13 gpm pump,if I remember correctly. It works great on a seed wagon auger. You don't have to go Tim the Tool Man big on these things if you are not trying to set a speed record for a cylinder or auger and most applications don't necessairly need a lot of speed .That is the beauty of hydraulics.I run my engine at half throttle and it is plenty fast enough. Burdens can give you a lot of advice on matching pump and engine sizes. 6 hp might be a bit short for fertilizer, but Burdens should know.

Just be sure to drain the gas at the end of use if using gas with ethanol or try to find some gasoline without it. The eth can make a mess in a small engine carburetor if left in it for months at a time.
