Subject: Re: Eaton 3 speed

Chippewa County, MN
I haven't had time to really scour the case, but the only numbers I found were 45481 which is cast into the housing.  I haven't found a tag yet.  Air pressure is good.  I unhooked the lines to make sure.  The problem, I believe, is just plain wear.  It started jumping out once in a while, but really got bad when the brother in law drove it and rather than shifting to medium, just let it jump in and out.  It used to jump out on rough ground, now it jumps out when it feels like it, but mostly when power is required.  Pushing in the clutch and letting it hook back up helps sometimes.  I've not used low for a few years, but seeing as how I have time to work on it, I thought I'd tear into it.  I guess I'll just tear down the front and if I don't find anything, I'll dig into the rear axle.
