Seem to do a decent job as far as chopping and picking - JD did make some good improvements to their picking unit... finally. I still think that a Geringhoff chops better, particularly at higher ground speeds, and can take less power to do so, but in an earlier post it too still has some disadvantages. The other thing is to make sure you have enough power and a good enough drive system behind it to power it.
