Ah heck Bill, that's why they make them wheels adjustable . . . lol

As long as it's easier to tell others how to farm, I'll give it a try also . . . (no disrespect intended - lol)

I cut friday - narrow compaced swath for chopping, as I knew the haylage process would be slow and the alfalfa still dryed fast.

This year is different then most, the ground is dry !   So, not only is the sun, air/wind pulling moisture out of the leaves and stems, but the ground is also. In the five yrs I've had this field, this is the first I could start cutting at 7:00 am and have dry ground and dry hay (no dew or rain) when cut.

Oh, I always move my wheels out for haying season . . . .

but didn't get it done for this first crop, in fact, I have the duals on yet . . . no hay run over, except endrows . .

Did you use your guidence system for cutting ?
