I don't own a case planter but I wonder if planting a little deeper may help even up your emergence. Without knowing your tillage, I would guess moisture and temperature are more uniform at 2" vs 1"1/4. I can't explain why a J.D. or Kinze would come up faster unless your seed sat in dry dirt, most everyone says the Early Risers are earlier rising. It will be interesting hearing other's opinioins on this. Hope you figure it out good luck.
