Not a 100% sure what you are trying to do, but on my tee jet valves the one wire stays hot all the time and to open them the third wire is given 12volts. As soon as the 3rd wire is shut off it closes. So on the the remote I made I just had to control the one wire. I'm guessing yours are the same way.
