Subject: engine coolant

I need to change the coolant in some of my tractors this year....and I'm thinking about using a long life type of coolant, such as Fleetguard ES Compleat.

The compleat literature says that it lasts for 4000 hrs and 4000 more with the extender.
Does this type of coolant still need to have DCA4 added for maintainence? Is it really safe to leave it in for 4000 hrs?

Any recommendations for some kind of heavy duty coolant for tractor engines or opinions on Compleat?

How do you know when the standard (green) type of antifreeze needs to be replaced?

Thanks!
