I worked on a 6060 once that didn't supply voltage to the fuel shutoff solenoid when the key was in the 'crank' position. Switched it to 'on' and had all kinds of power to troubleshoot the circuit with. Really kicked my butt till I figured out it needed a key switch. I seem to remember experiences like that quite well...............................................
